Planning consent has been granted for our refurbishment and extension of The Warburg Institute, one of London’s leading cultural and academic institutions. The new public facilities planned as part of The Warburg Renaissance project include an exhibition space and a 140-seat lecture theatre in the central courtyard, offering talks with curators, artists and scholars. Plans also include a ground-floor café that is expected to invoke Viennese-style café culture and stimulate further debate, study and ideas as well as spatial provision for another 20 years of growth for the library. Work will begin on site in early 2021.
