Haworth Tompkins working with Quintain on new homes for Wembley Park 09.02.22

Haworth Tompkins are working with Quintain on a section of North East Lands, the next major phase of their 10 million sq ft mixed-use masterplan in Wembley Park. Planning permission has been granted for the first two developments within this phase which sits adjacent to the National Stadium. Our two buildings consist of over 750 homes - a mixture of private Build-to-Rent (BtR), shared ownership, affordable rent and discount market rent properties, alongside shared amenity space, community and office space. We are aiming towards the UKGBC and LETI embodied carbon targets, achieving close to around 500 kg CO2e/m2 for the carbon life cycle modules A1-A5. This is being reached via a number of design decisions to improve the efficiency of construction across the building, including the façade, interior fit out, and concrete frame. Early works in preparing the site commenced in January and construction will start on site later this year, with completion set for 2025.
