An invited competition entry for a new performing arts facility and hotel for Jesus College, Cambridge. The brief called for a new performance space for music and the performing arts, rehearsal rooms and new sports facilities, set in mature landscape that surrounded the College.
The proposal created a new courtyard in dialogue with the scale and character of the existing entrance courtyard to the east. The new hotel was integrated with retained listed buildings on the public street frontage, seeking to mediate between the public life of the street and the more private spaces of the college.
