London Library Light, 2013

desk lamp

Designed by Tony McIntyre for the London Library, this unique desk lamp successfully combines the mechanics of functionality with a high-design aesthetic. The light can be shone in any direction and light levels adjusted to suit the reader. Ideal as a desk lamp, by the bedside or as a general reading light, a 6 watt high-efficiency low-energy LED bulb provides the light source and a dimmer switch adjusts light levels. Handcrafted in England, the lamp uses the highest quality materials - brass, nickel plate, aluminium - and is available in a variety of finishes. The electrical cord is made from fabric-covered plaited strands and is available in pink or black.
