Freya Emerson
—Architectural Assistant PI

Freya joined the practice in 2018 after achieving a first-class honours from Newcastle University. Her competition entry for the redesign of the Alphabetti theatre space in Newcastle was highly commended and her graduation design project, The STRATA Theatre, was featured in Blueprint's 2018 Graduates to Watch. Prior to starting at Haworth Tompkins, Freya spent time with Oxfam in the role of social architect where she visited the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh and lead design focussed discussion groups with the women of the camp to design improved washing and sanitary facilities.
