Haworth Tompkins were commissioned to undertake a detailed review of the original Jersey Waterfront masterplan and advise on fine tuning the strategic urban design issues. Our analysis led to a public consultation event called Waterfront 2000. This not only increased the understanding of the Waterfront development, but engaged the public in informed discussion about the issues, options and implications of all future Waterfront development. The result of Waterfront 2000, developed through our own process of research and design, was the Waterfront Design Framework. This was adopted by the States of Jersey in June 2001.
