Haworth Tompkins were selected to be part of a consortium bidding to implement a major urban regeneration scheme providing up to a thousand new homes in the Canning Town and Customs House area. Haworth Tompkins, Fielden Clegg Bradley, Proctor Matthews, Studio Egret West, and Llewelyn Davies Yeang developed the master plan proposals and architectural concepts for the first phase of the development. The brief was to provide new homes that provided diversity of typology and tenure. Haworth Tompkins' proposals consisted of robust brick residential blocks that surround a central park - a 15 storey tower, 6 storey block and a 4 storey block.
