We are working with Peabody to deliver Fish Island Village, a mixed-use development on the site of a disused warehouse which fronts the Hertford Union Canal in Fish Island, East London. Together with the adjacent site on Monier Rd, Peabody will create 580 homes hosting a range of affordable commercial space including cafes, function spaces, workshops and flexible workspaces for local entrepreneurs. There will be 4,900 square metres of work space, of which 4,590 square metres will be operated by The Trampery, a London-based social enterprise that designs and operates spaces for entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation. We have been commissioned to design 336 units within the phased development, which comprises of 13 buildings, and will include a range of one, two and three bedroom apartments. The turn-of-the-century brick warehouses within Fish Island and nearby Hackney Wick have inspired our designs.
