Study for Malmö Stadsteater 21.01.19

Haworth Tompkins are working on a study with artistic director Kitte Wagner and the city of Malmö authorities to create a new foyer space, and a reconfigured auditorium, within their astonishing 1899 Hippodrome building. The drive for the project comes from a strong artistic demand to open up to the city, to have a more visible and welcoming foyer, and to make the auditorium more intimate and theatrically adaptable.
